Permalight (Asia) Co., Ltd. was established in 1990 in Hong Kong. The company manufactures Pila professional flashlights, Codex™ digital user-programmable modules and Pila Intelligent Li-ion Battery Charging System. Permalight (Asia) Co., Ltd owns all rights on Pila® designs and trademarks.

Pila flashlights and accessories are Swiss designed and engineered. Pila flashlights, Codex modules, IBC chargers and rechargeable Li-ion batteries are assembled at Permalight's facilities in Panyu, China complying with highest quality standards. During production and prior shipment, Pila parts and assemblies have to pass stringent multi-level quality controls. Pila flashlights and accessories fulfil US and European quality and environmental standards.

Upon request, Permalight (Asia) Co., Ltd. produces Pila flashlights customised to specific requirements. In co-operation with ILEE AG, Switzerland, the company offers tactical illumination/targeting systems combining Pila flashlights with visible and IR laser pointers. These systems are built to Milspecs and offered to Government users only.
